Driving Intro Webinar

Driving with Neurodivergence Recorded Webinar is available On Demand

This one hour Zoom webinar will cover the following topics:

  • Neurodivergence and Driving Challenges

  • Strategies for Driving Success

  • Tools to Promote and Assess Driving Readiness

  • Getting a Permit

  • Fitness to Drive Services

  • Funding Options for Specialized Driver Training

This webinar is for parents and guardians of neurodivergent youth ages 15+ and independent neurodivergent young adults. New/potential drivers are encouraged to attend with their guardian.  Because our workshops build on each other, attendance at this webinar is a prerequisite to register for future in-person Neurodivergence and Driving workshops.

Grant Opportunity:  Our grant program for novice drivers with neurodivergence began with a survey to families to determine perceptions about resources for learning to drive for this population. We have received over 120 responses from Coloradans so far and are using the information that we learned in the survey to create workshops and online resources for families! We welcome your perspective - If you have not taken the survey you can do so here:

For permitted or licensed new drivers with neurodivergence who have already watched the Free/On Demand Driving with Neurodivergence Intro Webinar.

New drivers will work with law enforcement officers and occupational therapists who specialize in driving to learn exactly what to do when pulled over.  We’ll also discuss self-disclosure so drivers are able to advocate for themselves in a safe and effective manner. No actual driving will take place - simulation is done in parked cars.  Workshop is limited to 8 permitted or licensed drivers. Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend.
