Our grant program for novice drivers with neurodivergence began with a survey to families to determine perceptions about resources for learning to drive for this population. We have received over 120 responses from Coloradans so far! If you have not taken the survey you can do so here -

We are using the information that we learned in the survey to create workshops and online resources for families.

For permitted or licensed new drivers with neurodivergence

New drivers will work with law enforcement officers and occupational therapists who specialize in driving to learn exactly what to do when pulled over.  We’ll also discuss self-disclosure so drivers are able to advocate for themselves in a safe and effective manner. No actual driving will take place - simulation is done in parked cars.  Workshop is limited to 8 permitted or licensed drivers. Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend.
